Baked Bread With Garlic Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter, softened to room temperature
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 400g loaf
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 cup grated cheese (good use parmesan or romano)
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Preparation:
1. Remove
the butter from the refrigerator to soften it. Preheat the oven to 170c.
2. Cut off
the tops of heads of garlic so that the tip of each clove was visible. Place
the head on the baking sheet covered with foil and sprinkle them with olive
oil. Bake for 50 minutes, or until garlic is tender.
3. When the
garlic is cool, squeeze the garlic cloves from skins and roughly chop.
4. Grate cheese and chop the parsley. Combine oil, garlic, cheese, parsley and salt.
5. Slice
the bread and place slices on the baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 240c or
grill.
6. Spread
the garlic butter on bread slices.
7. Bake in
the oven or under the grill for 3-4 minutes or until toasted.
