Ingredients:
- Onions - 500 g
- Beef broth or water - 1.5 liters
- Red Wine - 100 ml
- Flour - 1 tbsp
- Parmesan or other cheese - 100 g
- Butter - 10 g
- Vegetable oil - 1-2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Bay leaf - 1 pc.
- The dried baguette - 1 pcs.
- Black pepper - to taste

Preparation:
1 . Cut Onions into half rings.2. In a saucepan dissolve the butter with vegetable. Simmer the onions with the lid closed for 15-20 minutes, until it becomes transparent.
3. Add salt and sugar and fry over medium heat until a dark yellow color. If you want classic French soup, fry the onions until brown.
4. Reduce the heat and add the flour. With constant stirring, simmer the onion for 2-3 minutes more. The consistency of the mixture should be pasty.
5. Pour the broth into the pan, wine, add bay leaf, bring to a boil and cook with the lid closed for another 20 minutes.
6. When you are ready to adjust the soup with salt and pepper.
7. Cut the baguette, pour olive oil and dried in an oven or in a frying pan.
8. We spread the slices of baguette on the soup, sprinkle with cheese.
9. Bake in preheated oven until golden brown cheese. It is better to include only the top heating or grill. Serve hot. If you are not much fried onion soup is mild in taste, with a slight acidity of wine.
